She was born in 1959 in Germany near Cologne and has been working in fine arts and jewelery since she was 18 years old.
In 1986 she started showing her works in collective and individual exhibitions in Germany and Portugal.
Since 1993 she lives in Portugal and works as a free artist and educator.

Resides in Vale Ferro / Odemira, where her workshop with permanent exhibition is located and offers
Jewelery workshops for adults and children.

Helga Brochhaus-Mürtz makes designer pieces and contemporary jewelery, using copper, silver, gold,
Precious stones, wood among other materials that she find in nature.
Her work reveals her experience in the region.
